Ravens place Marquise Brown, two other receivers on COVID-19 list
The Baltimore Ravens are dealing with more COVID-19 issues following the team’s outbreak earlier in the season. The team placed three receivers, including Marquise Brown, on the COVID-19/reserve list Wednesday.
Brown, along with Myles Boykin and James Proche, were all placed on the COVID-19 list. A player does not need to test positive to be placed on the list. Players can be placed on the COVID-19 list if they come into close contact with another person who tested positive for the virus.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said all three players were placed on the COVID-19/reserve list after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive. Harbaugh added Boykin, Brown and Proche have not registered positive tests.

If those players continue to test negative, they would be available for the team’s Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ravens dealt with COVID-19 outbreak earlier in the season
The move comes just six days after the Ravens placed Dez Bryant on the COVID-19/reserve list. Bryant tweeted that he tested positive for coronavirus prior to the team’s Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys, but said subsequent tests came back negative. Despite those negative tests, the Ravens still put Bryant on the COVID-19 list Thursday, causing him to miss the team’s Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns.
Prior to placing Bryant on the list, the Ravens experienced a COVID-19 outbreak. The team placed at least 18 players — including J.K. Dobbins, Mark Ingram and Lamar Jackson — on the COVID-19/reserve list prior to the team’s Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ravens dealing with COVID-19 issues with playoffs on the line
Boykin, Brown and Proche might be available to play against the Jaguars, and that should come as welcome news. While the Jaguars are just 1-12, the contest is big for the Ravens, who are fighting for a playoff spot in the AFC.
At 8-5, the Ravens aren’t currently a playoff team, but not by much. Both the Ravens and Miami Dolphins have identical records, but the Dolphins sit in the seventh — and final — AFC playoff spot due to a tiebreaker. The Ravens are also chasing the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. All three teams sit at 9-4.
Despite sitting outside the playoffs, the Ravens have a strong chance to make a late season push. After playing the Jaguars, the Ravens will take on the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals the final two weeks of the season.
