Raw milk sold at SLO County stores recalled for possible salmonella contamination
Raw milk produced by Fresno-based Raw Farms LLC has been recalled for possible salmonella contamination after being sold at grocery stores throughout the state — including in San Luis Obispo County.
The unpasteurized whole milk and heavy cream from Raw Farms LLC was sold at Sprouts Farmers Market and Lassens Natural Foods in San Luis Obispo, as well as California Fresh Market in Pismo Beach, according to a list of retailers released by the state health department.
The following items were included in the recall:
Raw whole milk, gallon: Item number: 1000, barcode: 835204006004
Raw whole milk, half-gallon: Item number: 1005, barcode: 835204000095
Raw whole milk, quart: Item number: 1010, barcode: 835204000019
Raw heavy cream, 16 oz.: Item number: 3050, barcode: 835204000132
