A man found injured Thursday in a residential neighbourhood in Prince George, B.C., has now died, according to a statement from the local RCMP detachment.

Police did not release details of the man's injuries, only that they were inflicted before he was discovered in a snow bank in the 8200 block of Domano Boulevard Thursday morning at approximately 8 a.m. PT.

In a media statement Friday, Prince George RCMP confirmed the man had died and that an investigation was underway.

According to that statement, the Serious Crimes Unit is spearheading the case and the BC Coroners Service is also investigating the death.

Police say they will not be providing any other details at this time.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, for those wishing to remain anonymous.
