RCMP investigating Dieppe armed robbery, stabbing

Vandals target heavy equipment in Springdale crime spree

The Codiac Regional RCMP is seeking two male suspects allegedly involved in the armed robbery and stabbing of a 72-year-old male delivery person in Dieppe early Sunday morning.

According to Sgt. Andre Pepin, the incident was reported at 12:20 a.m.

"A delivery person was approached in his vehicle on Jeannette Street by two males. The suspects stole the delivery person's money and fled on foot," said Pepin.

He added that the two men were wearing bandanas and ninja suits during the robbery. One of the men was armed with a sharp weapon and the delivery person suffered stab wounds.

The delivery person was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The police dog services and Forensic Identification Section attended the scene.

The suspects are described as about 5-foot-8 tall and having a slim build.

Pepin said the victim works for a company that delivers pizza and restaurant food.
