RCMP say no risk to the public after fatal double shooting in Richmond, B.C.

RICHMOND, B.C. — Police say they're investigating a double homicide in a residential area of Richmond, B.C.

RCMP say they got a report around 8:40 p.m. on Friday of two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the area of Westminster Highway and Barnard Drive.

They say both people are dead and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is on the scene to gather evidence.

The Mounties say there is no concern for public safety.

They released no further details.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the investigation to come forward.
