RCMP release victim's name in suspicious death in Kugluktuk, Nunavut

The RCMP's Major Crime Unit in Nunavut has taken over the investigation of a sudden death in Kugluktuk.

The unit had been assisting with the investigation into the suspicious death of 46-year-old Margaret Ogina.

But an update from the RCMP Saturday says the unit has now "taken conduct of the investigation."

Last week, police said they had gone to a home to check on a woman who family and friends had not heard from in a while.

There, they found the body of Ogina.

The RCMP are asking for anyone "with information about Margaret Ogina's acquaintances, whereabouts and travels between Friday, April 7 to Monday, April 10th," to contact the Kuglutuk RCMP at 867-982-0123 or the Major Crime Unit at 867-975-4417.
