'Ready for it?': Laura Ingraham calls on Taylor Swift to perform at Trump inauguration

WASHINGTON - Fox News host Laura Ingraham called on international pop star Taylor Swift to consider performing at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration in January as a way for the country to come together after the divisive 2024 campaign.

Swift and Trump have represented political polar opposites over the last year: His campaign used fake AI images of her in social media and the singer urged her legions of supporters to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris. "I hate her," Trump responded on Truth Social after the singer endorsed his Democratic rival.

Appearing on “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday, the Fox host said that Swift should call Trump and offer to perform at his swearing-in ceremony, saying it would be a “great moment of unity” for the country.

“Come on, Taylor. Are you ready for it?” Ingraham asked, referencing the title of Swift’s song, “...Ready For It?”

“Anything is possible. It is almost Christmas," Ingraham added. "We have seen a lot of miracles this year."

Swift, who recently finished her Eras Tour and turned 35 on Friday, endorsed President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race.

The full program for Trump's 2024 inauguration is not public yet. At the Republican's first inauguration in January 2017, featured musical performances included Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood and Jackie Evancho, who sang the national anthem. Trump transition team and Swift’s spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment on Ingraham's suggestion.
