Rebel Wilson is officially a fitness icon. Months after she announced her "Year of Health" weight loss journey on Instagram, she's on the platform rocking a sports bra and bike shorts, "ready to smash a beach run." Her commitment to eating well and working out is clearly working for her, since she's been following the same health and fitness routine since January.

Over the summer, Rebel opened up in a now-deleted Instagram post about her weight loss goals, revealing her goal weight of 165 lbs. "I’ll be honest with you guys—with my 'Year of Health' mission I’m trying to get to 75kg’s and career wise am trying to get one of my movies into production before the end of the year! Both of these things are requiring a daily effort and there’s constant set backs—but I’m working hard x" she wrote.

To meet that goal, Rebel has been working out with trainer Jono Castano up to seven days a week and following the Mayr Method. According to her trainer, Rebel's full-year approach to a health transformation is the right idea, because body goals don't happen overnight.

"The first thing is, we need to really understand where they're at. So, what I mean by that, is we need to find out their weight, body fat, muscle mass," he told Yahoo! Lifestyle. "Because what tends to happen as well is that a lot of people weigh themselves and they don't understand why they're not losing weight, because they're putting on muscle, and then they're looking better." Though some people aren't a fan of the approach, he recommends taking photos every week to mark progress. "A transformation is never ending, the journey always continues, so you can never give yourself 10, 12 weeks." They've been doing weight training, rope workouts, tire-pushing, and outdoor cardio.

One of their more creative workouts was running up and down the stairs of the Sydney Opera House.

After visiting a luxury detox and wellness center in Austria called VivaMayr, Rebel started following the Mayr Method, which eliminates snacking, reduces gluten and dairy intake, and encourages followers to follow mindful eating techniques like chewing food slowly and eating without distractions.

“It's an approach that eliminates food intolerances, reduces sugar, encourages eating whole foods slowly, boosts the immune system and reduces inflammation,” a source close to Wilson told People.
