Red Deer RCMP charge 6 people in hotel assault
Red Deer RCMP have charged six people after interrupting an aggravated assault in a room at the Aladdin Hotel.
Police say the victim was being held in the room against his will and suffered a number of injuries.
He was treated at the scene and released.
Police later seized edged weapons, a rifle and a small amount of drugs from the room.
Four men and three underage females were taken into custody, although one of the girls was released without charges.
The suspects are facing a number of charges including forcible confinement, aggravated assault and robbery.
