Frasier Crane Is the Future of the MCUMarvel Studios

This story contains spoilers for The Marvels.

Marvel's latest superhero adventure, The Marvels, has a lot on its plate. The film is a sequel to multiple MCU projects across film and television—so it has the pressure of wrapping up a handful of character arcs and plot threads. And if that wasn't enough, two post-credits scenes punctuate The Marvels. You really thought you could get away with skipping the 33rd MCU film? Nope.

The first of the two scenes features Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) in a Nick Fury-esque role. She's recruiting a team of young Avengers, and her first stop is Hawkeye/Kate Bishop's (Hailee Steinfeld) apartment. That would all be dandy—and more than enough of a teaser—if the second scene wasn't the biggest MCU reveal in recent memory. What's that, you ask? The return of the X-Men. Fans have clamored for an X-Men tease ever since Disney purchased the rights to the X-Men franchise from Fox Studios in 2019. Five years later, the House of Mouse is finally ready to bring them out of the vault.

After Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) is trapped in another universe, she wakes up in a doctor's room—only to find Kelsey Grammer's Beast (from the original X-Men trilogy) standing next to her bed. Though some X-Men characters were previously teased in various multiverse shenanigans, this feels like the real deal. Much like the recently rebooted Frasier, Grammer is back to play the hits. This time, in fuzzy blue makeup!

Will Patrick Stewart return next? He sort of did in the Doctor Strange sequel. Same goes for Hugh Jackman, who is set to appear in Deadpool 3. Now, Grammer's Beast is back. Is this good? Do fans like this?! Well, they certainly didn't enjoy the new Frasier. Esquire's very own Entertainment Editor, Brady Langmann, wrote that the Frasier revival featured "a gaggle of chatbot-speaking characters." So let's just hope Marvel gives Grammer more... entertaining friends to hang out with.
