Forget what you know about tie-dye — because we’re calling it one of the biggest trends of 2020.
While this explosive trend made a controversial comeback in 2019, the new decade’s fresh look on bold colours and neon brights is giving this nostalgic style effect a more polished and sophisticated reputation — thanks to the celebrity stylings of Taylor Swift, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid and many more.
Hopping on the ‘60s-inspired trend train, on Thursday, Reformation launched a surprise Tie-Dye Collection. Featuring ankle-length classic sweatpants and sweatshirts available in two happy-hued effects, Tornado and Creamsicle, the collection offers the perfect lean-on for neutrals in your existing wardrobe for a more elevated pop of colour (a perfect styling strategy for winter). Of course, you can also rock it as a coordinating set for a playful, refreshing twist on loungewear.
Reformation joins Prada, Stella McCartney and Proenza Schouler White Label on the long list of celebrity-approved labels that are loving tie-dye.
