Regina King was a big winner at the 72nd Emmy Awards. Not only did she receive the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for her role in Watchmen, but she also topped our best-dressed list in two sizzling looks by Schiaparelli.

King, who used her acceptance speech to urge U.S. citizens to vote in the upcoming election, sported a shocking-pink Schiaparelli double-breasted wool suit over a T-shirt bearing Breonna Taylor’s screen-printed image from the a Meena Harris–helmed brand Phenomenal. She also wore an electric-blue asymmetrical embroidered silk falle gown with 250 encrusted multicolored jewels on the virtual red carpet. And it seems that both ensembles will endure long past the live broadcast.

Starting today through October 30, the Schiaparelli looks will be auctioned at Christie’s to support the Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance, an online network that empowers youths by connecting them with leaders through community-based education programs. In addition, Schiaparelli artistic director Daniel Roseberry’s original sketches for the looks, which are signed by both King and Roseberry, will be gifted to the auction winners.

“Working with Schiaparelli has been very gratifying,” King said. “They are a historic brand that represents class and a positive work ethic, which are the same values I try to live by. Supporting the Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance is another example of why working with Schiaparelli has been so rewarding.”

“Ms. King is an icon, both of her craft and of this moment,” Roseberry said. “I couldn’t be more honored to have dressed her for the 2020 Emmy Awards and am proud to support the Girls Opportunity Alliance. We at Maison Schiaparelli join the Obama Foundation in celebrating the inherent power of women and are committed to inspiring and supporting adolescent girls through the empowering nature of fashion.”
