Two Regina men have been charged with second-degree murder in the city's third homicide of 2021.

They are accused of killing Justin Robert Delorme, 32, during an incident over the weekend, police said.

Charles Wayne Taypotat, 54, made his first court appearance on the charge Monday in provincial court. Richard Crane, 35, appeared in court Tuesday on the the same offence.

On Sunday, Regina police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Garnet Street at around 6:30 a.m. CST.

Police say Delorme was found injured and was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say while they were at the scene of the crime on the weekend, they found a second man who had been shot at the same house.

Crane is also charged with attempted murder using a gun in connection with that shooting.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Garnet Street on Sunday morning after getting a call about an injured man. He was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. Police have identified the man as Justin Robert Delorme, 32, of Regina.
