Regina police seek witnesses to hit-and-run that injured senior on a scooter
Regina police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run that injured a senior citizen on a mobility scooter.
The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday on Broad Street at the underpass between Dewdney Avenue and Saskatchewan Drive. Police say an unknown vehicle rear-ended a mobility scooter in the southbound lane of Broad Street and fled the scene.
Investigators are hoping to speak with people who saw the crash and can identify the suspect vehicle.
The collision pushed an 81-year-old woman using the scooter into a concrete wall. A passerby found her on the ground and called police for help.
EMS took the woman to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no description of the suspect vehicle.
