Regina man faces charges after high-risk search warrant

Regina police have charged two people and seized a long list of suspicious items — drugs, guns, knives, cellphones and a stolen bicycle.

A man, 25, and a woman, 21, appeared in provincial court Monday facing a total of 25 charges.

Regina police said they stopped a vehicle on Saturday afternoon and inside found marijuana, methamphetamine and amphetamine. They also said they found a large amount of cash, a canister of pepper spray, an extendable baton and multiple bladed weapons.

Swords, hatchet, bike also seized

An investigation led them to a house of the 1100 block of Princess St., where they found more meth and pot, some cocaine and some unknown pills.

"Officers also found multiple cellular phones, six firearms, ammunition, other weapons (a crossbow, swords, and a hatchet), packaging and tools consistent with drug trafficking and a stolen bicycle," police said in a news release.

The charges include possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and various weapon-related offences.
