Report: Packers make Kenny Clark highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history with $70 million extension

The Green Bay Packers are locking up Kenny Clark on a massive extension. Clark reportedly agreed to a four-year, $70 million extension to remain with the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal would make Clark, 24, the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history.

It would also make Clark the 12th highest-paid defensive player in the league.

Kenny Clark is coming off Pro Bowl season

After being selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft, Clark has developed into one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL. Last season, Clark had 62 tackles and six sacks, earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl in the process.

While it can be hard for nose tackles to distinguish themselves in the NFL, Clark has always graded out well according to PFF’s metrics.

Prior to the extension, Clark was set to be a free agent following the 2020 NFL season.
