A person was rescued from a second story balcony Friday afternoon after a fire broke out at a Puyallup apartment building, Central Pierce Fire & Rescue said.

Multiple crews were batting the fire in the 3200 block of East Main Avenue in Puyallup. Only one 14-unit building is involved. All residents have been safely evacuated, according to Puyallup Police spokesperson Capt. Kevin Gill.
