8 – Prince Charles

Personally and professionally, 2018 was a big year for the Prince of Wales. The heir to the throne celebrated his 70th birthday with a lavish party at Buckingham Palace that capped off a year where the public was shown a softer side of Prince Charles. From walking his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, down the aisle on her wedding day to new portraits with his grandchildren, Charles pulled back the curtain to his life as father, grandfather and husband.
In Vanity Fair royals fans were given a glimpse into his relationship with his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
“She’s made a massive difference in him,” a royal correspondent told the magazine. “He’s much more relaxed now. They are always laughing and chatting, they have great affection and humor between them.”
