9. Low Carb Diet

The low carb diet is pretty self-explanatory — according to Authority Nutrition, it “restricts carbohydrates, such as those found in sugary foods, pasta and bread. It is high in protein, fat and healthy vegetables.” Furthermore, “there are many different types of low-carb diets, and studies show that they can cause weight loss and improve health.” While many fruits and vegetables do contain carbohydrates, most low-carb diets stress the elimination of bad carbs, like white bread, soft drinks and sugary snacks.
