Richard Gere and Wife Alejandra Smile While on Outing Together in Spain Following Overseas Move
The couple, who share 5-year-old son Alexander and 4-year-old son James, recently relocated to the European country
Richard Gere and wife Alejandra Gere are taking in their new home base.
The couple were spotted out and about in Madrid on Sunday, Dec. 1, after the 75-year-old actor revealed that they had relocated to his wife's home country of Spain to be closer to her relatives.
Both Gere and Alejandra (née Silva), 41, were dressed warmly in the smiley photos snapped, with the Agency star in jeans and a blue shirt under a brown jacket and his wife in a cream-colored turtleneck under a coordinating long coat.
Gere and Alejandra married in a secret ceremony in April 2018. They are parents to 5-year-old son Alexander and 4-year-old son James.
Gere is also a stepfather to his wife's 11-year-old son Albert from a previous marriage, and a dad to son Homer, 24, whom he shares with ex-wife Carey Lowell.

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Nov. 20, Gere revealed that their family would be in Spain for Thanksgiving, and opened up about why he opted to move to the European country.
"My wife is Spanish and she gave me about seven years here, so we’re going to spend some years in Madrid with her family," he said. "Our kids are bilingual, so they’re going to flourish there."
The Pretty Woman actor added that he hopes he and his wife will settle in their new home.
"My wife grew up in a big Spanish family, like a big Italian family, and her grandmother was kind of the glue that held that all together," Gere said. "And the grandmother passed away [about] two years ago, so my wife, I can see her morphing into the new grandmother of this extended family. So she’s already planning for 35 people for Sunday lunches."

"As James says, mom, mom, today is the first day of Christmas!" the proud mother of three captioned her post, translated from Spanish to English.
Added Alejandra, "How I like their energy, their innocence ♥️ , this year finally, Christmas in Spain! #merrychristmas #feliznavidad."
