Rita Ora to debut new song at Mighty Hoopla
Rita Ora is to debut her new song at next month's Mighty Hoopla festival.
The 33-year-old singer will support headliner Jessie Ware at the event on June 2nd at London's Brockwell Park, and Rita has confirmed she will perform a new tune live on stage.
Speaking on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show', she said: "It’s a whole new thing for me.
"I am doing a huge LGBT festival where I will perform it. It’s a really fun one."
Rita admitted she is keen to return to her "music roots".
She added: "I’m about to get back on the road. I feel like I need to get back to my music roots."
It comes after Rita released 'Shape of Me', featuring Keith Urban, to mark her mother's 60th birthday in January.
The star - born to psychiatrist Vera Bajraktari and her pub landlord dad Besnik Sahatçiu - marked her mum reaching the milestone age by dropping a new version of the track from her 2023 LP 'You and I', plus a music video containing precious family footage.
Rita wrote at the time: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! We've been through everything together. You've always been such a beautiful inspiration in my life and in my music. I wanted to write a song about you for the longest time, so when Shape Of Me was written by me and the You and I writing squad for my album and released, I was finally able to share so much that I’ve been feeling about you. It really became clear how much love you've shown me and how much you've taught me over the years!! SO, what better way to say HBD then to share a new version of it with the AMAZING Keith Urban. He helped me make it that much more special as this song is also showing appreciation to all the women in your life! So surprise mum this one is for you! Happy 60th! (sic)"
