Road closed after horses killed in crash
A main route through Dorset has been closed after two horses were killed following a crash with an SUV.
Dorset Police said the horses were initially reported loose on the A31 near Corfe Mullen, shortly before 06:45 GMT.
The force said officers were sent but before they arrived the horses had been struck and killed by a Jeep Cherokee on the A350, south of Roundhouse Roundabout.
The road is closed in both directions from the A31 Roundhouse Roundabout to Sandy Lane.
The force said the driver of the vehicle was not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.
