Rosemont stabbing sends man, 24, to hospital

Police have arrested three people after a 24-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation in Rosemont early Sunday morning.

Police say it happened at about 3:45 a.m. in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant on Rosemont Boulevard near de Normanville Street.

"According to witnesses who were met by police officers, it was an altercation between two men that escalated," said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for Montreal Police.

At least one of the suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle, Brabant said.

Two women, ages 31 and 25, and a 26-year-old man were later arrested, according to police.

The victim was stabbed in the upper body and was conscious when transported to hospital and police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
