RSPCA Rescues Animals From Flooded House in Warrington

Rescuers from the Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) rescued a dog and three cats from a home in Warrington, Cheshire, that had been caught up in the floods on January 21, after Storm Christoph battered England and Wales.

The RSPCA said its officers used a boat and waded through floodwater to reach a woman called Clare and her pets. The animals were: a 14-year-old dog called Pepper and three cats called Bandit, Smokey, and Socks, respectively.

In all, the charity’s rescue teams had responded to a total of 43 flood calls between Wednesday, January 20, and Thursday, January 21, the RSPCA said.
