Run the Jewels share Simpsons ‘prediction’ parody video starring Lenny and Carl
US hip-hop duo Run the Jewels have posted an parody video of The Simpsons on Twitter, joking that “they really do predict everything huh”.
The video features footage of Lenny and Carl, Homer’s barfly friends from the beloved animated series, overdubbed with audio from Run the Jewels’ latest single, “Ooh La La”.
Lenny’s voice is dubbed over with the vocals of El-P, while Killer Mike provides the audio for Carl.
Run the Jewels have not released an album since the highly acclaimed Run the Jewels 3 in December 2016.
El-P recently confirmed in a Tweet that production is finished on their latest project, entitled Run the Jewels 4, although a formal release date is still forthcoming.

While the Tweet was intended as a joke, The Simpsons regularly makes headlines for “predicting” major news headlines.
Recently, the long-running cartoon was credited with anticipating the coronavirus pandemic – thanks to a 1993 episode in which a contagious flu travels to the US from Asia.
