Russian assault groups penetrate Krasnohorivka, Donetsk Oblast — Ukrainian military

Russian troops breached into Krasnohorivka, Donetsk Oblast, and entrenched themselves within a local factory compound, but have since been contained by Ukrainian forces, Ukrainian military spokesperson Nazar Voloshyn told Army TV on May 8.

“The enemy broke into the city with small assault groups and entrenched at a fireproof materials plant,” said Voloshyn.

“Thanks to the efforts of our units, particularly the 59th Brigade, the enemy has been contained and remains there.”

He added that the enemy is currently cut off from ammunition resupplies, and Krasnohorivka, along with its outskirts, is under the fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
