Give a Rusty Saw Blade a Second Life as a Beautiful Drawknife

From Popular Mechanics

Out of all the knives you might want in your workshop, a drawknife might not be the most practical, but it's certainly unique. And if you make it yourself by just bringing a rusty old saw blade back from the brink in the process, why not?

John Heisz-a master of the busted-old-thing-into-a-knife art form-pulled off that very trick for his most recent video, using an old diamond blade he had languishing in his backyard. After a little bit of cutting, sharpening, and wood-working for the handles, this blade is completely (and wonderfully) unrecognizable.

If you're game to try this yourself, Heisz has an in-depth guide on his website. But if a drawknife isn't quite your speed, you could always opt for a saw blade meat cleaver, which is at least equally as cool. The most important thing is that you are turning everything and anything you can find into a knife. Because why not?
