Ryan Reynolds Finally Revealed Whether He Watched Blake Lively on Gossip Girl

Good morning, Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here. And I've finally got the 4-1-1 on whether or not Ryan Reynolds is a fan of our little drama.

Okay, obviously, I'm not GG (I wish!). But we do now know at least some of Reynolds's thoughts on his wife Blake Lively's breakout hit of the aughts, Gossip Girl. The actor hopped onto Twitter in late March and interacted with fans, even answering the all-important question about his knowledge level of Serena van der Woodsen's NYC antics.

"I need to know if @VancityReynolds has watched Gossip Girl. i NEED to know," one person tweeted. Reynolds responded, "I didn’t watch it. I drank it through my eyes." That feels like an odd and yet appropriate way to describe the Gossip Girl viewing experience. If only we could know Lively's response—but, sadly, she has yet to weigh in.

Reynolds also gave some insight into his viewing habits during this period of self-isolation because of the coronavirus: "These aren’t recommendations. This is just what I watched over the past week: Grosse Pointe Blank, Training Day, Being There, Easter Parade, Fucking Paw Patrol X 11." Ah, the life of the father of three.

Reynolds hasn't just been entertaining people on social media during this tough time. He, along with Blake Lively, made a very generous donation of $1 million to help those struggling with food insecurity. "COVID-19 has brutally affected older adults and lower income families. Blake and I are donating $1 million to be split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. If you can give, these orgs need your help," he wrote on Instagram. "Take care of your bodies and your hearts. Leave room for joy. Call someone who's isolated and might need connection."

We love to see these generous donations, as well as the lighthearted Twitter interactions. They're both necessary during a tough time.
