Ryan Reynolds Just Posted About Blake Lively for the First Time in Forever

From Good Housekeeping

  • Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively rarely post about their relationship on Instagram anymore.

  • On Wednesday, Ryan posted about a gift Blake gave him recently.

  • The gift is a painting with several nods to Ryan and the couple's relationship.

It's a rare treat when Ryan Reynolds shares something sentimental and sweet about Blake Lively on his social media. (They're usually trolling each other, lovingly, of course.)

Blake's been super-quiet on Instagram, her last post was in May when she announced she was pregnant with baby #3.

But Ryan is paying homage to his wife in the sweetest way in his latest Instagram post, which went up late Wednesday. He gives credit to Blake for a super special painting she had made for him that contains Easter eggs of special things in his life and their relationship.

His caption on the photo: "My first job was delivering newspapers for the Vancouver Sun. The house in the painting is my childhood home. My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the painting, including my idol, John Candy on the front page of the newspaper," he captioned his post. "The house no longer stands but it’s a living, breathing thing in my head. This piece of art is the greatest present my wife has ever given me. It was created by @dannygalieote. If there’s ever a fire, I’m grabbing this first. I’ll come back for Blake."

We did a little digging about some of the rest of the Easter eggs.

The strawberries.

This may be a reference to a Valentine's Day cake that Ryan baked for Blake in 2018, when he said the icing turned out "like glue."

The Boston Red Sox hat.

Apparently, Blake and Ryan fell in love in Boston. According to the Boston Globe, the couple began dating in 2011 when Reynolds was filming R.I.P.D. in Boston.

The Christmas tree.

While it's not super clear what the Christmas tree (plus Christmas lights) on the outside of the house mean, we can only assume he loves Christmas?!
