Ryan Reynolds is very opinionated when it comes to taking his daughters to a pumpkin patch.

The Deadpool & Wolverine star, 47, is a dad to daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, as well as son Olin, 19 months, whom he shares with wife Blake Lively, 37. On Friday, Oct. 4, the proud dad recalled a conversation he had with two of his daughters from his own, hilarious perspective on his Instagram Stories.

"Of course I wanna take you and your sister to the pumpkin patch," he began. "No, my love, I never said the pumpkin patch is where joy goes to die because that would be- sorry, what now?"

After asking their dad to take a trip to the pumpkin patch, the girls then requested that a few extra guests join them for the ride.

"You want to bring little Brandon from school? The one who can't modulate the volume of his voice?" Reynolds wrote. "Or the other Brandon who always has a communicable disease and once wiped his nose on your hair?"

Just when the dad of four thought it couldn't get worse, he shares, "All three!? There's a THIRD Brandon? Halle-fucking-BOOYA! And they said it couldn't be done!"

The actor quickly realized he would need some back-up on this fall-themed mission, writing, "I'm gonna see if another parent can join in case I need to head home and feed the cat"

"And yes I'm aware and I will GET a fucking cat," he quipped, adding, "Please velcro your shoes and hop in the car."

While Reynolds was seemingly easily convinced to take his girls and their three Brandon friends on this excursion, he recently opened up about the difference between parents today versus when he was a child.

"Parents today are so different. We're so soft," he admitted. "I don't yell. I grew up with like — it was nuts, it was an improvised militia.” He added, “Now it's like, I can go look at all my resources for parenting and remind myself how to be perfectly compassionate.”
