Ryan Reynolds Shares New Detail About Taylor Swift's Role as Godmother to His and Blake Lively's Kids
The 'Deadpool & Wolverine' star is dad to daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin, whom he shares with Lively
Step aside Cinderella — Ryan Reynolds' kids have the starriest godmother in town now.
The actor, 48, was recently interviewed by Deadline and spoke about how his good friend Taylor Swift publicly shared that she was godmother to his kids earlier this summer when she posted about his movie Deadpool & Wolverine.
"Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids' sperm donor!" the "Cruel Summer" singer wrote in the caption of her post, referencing Reynolds' character Deadpool's real name.
"I'm going to need that on my gravestone, actually," Reynolds told Deadline of the post.
"Yeah, that is kind of it. She is the godparent to my daughters," he continued. "That was very sweet. Not just sweet, that was, like, you could probably quantify a box office based on Taylor just doing something like that."

Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively are parents to four kids — daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin, whom they welcomed in February 2023.
Earlier this fall, Reynolds and Lively took daughter James with them as they attended Swift's concert in New Orleans. In a TikTok video shared from the weekend, the It Ends with Us star, 37, could be seen walking into the venue with an arm around her daughter, who touted sparkles in her long blonde hair and clapped as she made her way to her seat.
Another video posted to TikTok showed Lively, Reynolds and James later during the show as they listened to Swift's song "Betty," which includes all three of Lively's older kids' names.
In the video, Lively filmed Swift while James stood in front of her parents, singing along and nodding her head.
At Swift's show in Madrid in May, Reynolds and Lively's kids could be seen enjoying Swift's concert in several fan videos and photos shared to X, formally known as Twitter. Lively and her girls, who took in her performance from the floor of the show, could be seen jumping up and down and dancing along as Swift belted out "Shake It Off."
Later in the show, Swift addressed Lively's daughters in the audience. Speaking on stage, the musician strummed her guitar and said, "I have to say that on Folklore, some of my favorite characters are named James, Inez and Betty."
