A passenger has been left furious after she claimed she was bombarded with homophobic abuse as airline staff did nothing.

Laura Muldoon posted a photograph of a group of men who she said called her a ‘miserable b****h’, ‘d***’ and ‘lesbo’ on a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Seville.

Ms Muldoon, social media manager at the Museum of London, said: “First holiday snap! Of this bunch of lads who chanted that I was a “miserable b***h”, “d***” and “lesbo” (very well observed!) on @Ryanair flight.

“Oh yeah, flight crew did nothing. #holidayvibes #outofofficeon #rainontheplane

Following the tweet she was sent several messages of support and the airline told her to contact them so staff could investigate the alleged incident.

File photo dated 04/10/17 of a Ryanair plane. Ryanair's full year profits have fallen 29% to 1.02 billion euros (890m), the company said.
A passenger has accused Ryanair staff of 'doing nothing' after she was subjected to homophobic abuse.

If the police pursue the incident it will be treated as a hate crime and should the accused be convicted they are likely to be fined and ordered to carry out unpaid work.

The abuse comes weeks after a high-profile attack on two air stewardesses who were asked to kiss by men on a night bus, in London - when they refused they were assaulted.

Melania Geymonat, 28, was travelling on a London bus with her girlfriend Chris when they were repeatedly told to kiss by a group of men.

When they refused they were attacked - left bloodied and distressed in a photograph which she shared on Facebook following the horrendous incident.
