Liverpool face a nervous wait to discover the full extent of a hamstring injury picked up by Sadio Mane at Wolves.

The Senegalese lasted just 33 minutes of the Reds' 2-1 win at Molineux, which was clinched by Roberto Firmino's 84th-minute goal.

Mane immediately signalled his inability to continue to the bench after pulling up while tracking back out of possession.

He was subsequently replaced by January signing Takumi Minamino, who played the remainder of the game on his Premier League bow.

Asked about Mane's prognosis in his post-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp said: "Don't know exactly. It's probably a muscle.

"He felt something, a hamstring. We have to wait. We will see."

Mane would have been expected to miss the weekend trip to Shrewsbury in the FA Cup - a competition Klopp has often used to heavily rotate his squad in the past.

However, Liverpool have trips to West Ham United and a home meeting with in-form Southampton before they enjoy a two-week break from Premier League action.
