The city of Salem, Massachusetts, is known for its history of witchcraft allegations in the late 1600s, as well as its month-long commitment to celebrating Halloween. But now it’s back in the spotlight for being a place with supernatural energy after the city’s mayor tweeted out a rather chilling photo.

Mayor Kim Driscoll shared the photo on Wednesday and it appears to show a scowling face trapped in a street lamp.

“Anybody else see a face in this light?…Totally eerie, eh,” she wrote.

The ghostly image appears to be looking down with a scowling, ashen expression.

“I must have looked at it four times and I thought, no one is going to believe me. I have to take a picture of this,” Driscoll told WHDH News.
