Sam Thompson announces big news on Instagram
Sam Thompson has shared some news in a new Instagram post – the former Made in Chelsea star is now an official ambassador of ADHD UK.
"As many of you know, this is a cause very close to my heart," he wrote in his social media announcement, which accompanied a video. "Their charity slogan is 'positively changing what it means to have ADHD in the UK' – and that just sums up my own mission as someone diagnosed with ADHD not too long ago."
Sam went on to detail the five goals of the charity – which includes support, advocacy and awareness – before sharing that he hoped to use his own platform "to help with all of these".
"Changing perceptions of those with ADHD, and encouraging conversation around this topic is and will continue to be a huge and central part of my life," the TV personality continued. "This is what I want my legacy to be, above anything else."

Sam went on to touch on his time in the I'm a Celebrity jungle, where he was eventually crowned the winner of the 2023 series. He revealed that since his appearance on the popular ITV show, he'd spoken to many children and adults who told him that he "helped change their minds on how they view ADHD".
"I want to reach as many people as I possibly can, especially young people, and show there is such magic in being neurodiverse," Sam added.
"Yes there are some very real challenges along the way, but with the right support, it can be a superpower, it can be a blessing and we can achieve all of our dreams."
In a comment on Sam's video, a representative of ADHD UK wrote: "We are incredibly excited about this. @samthompsonuk is an extraordinary role model and advocate for people with ADHD. We're thrilled and looking forward to working with him. He's amazing!"
Sam's partner Zara McDermott added that she was "so proud" of him following the announcement.
Sam previously documented the journey of his ADHD diagnosis in a one-off documentary, Sam Thompson: Is This ADHD?, for Channel 4 in 2023.
In an interview with Digital Spy at the time of its release, Sam shared that he had hopes of "helping people who think they maybe might have ADHD and shedding a light on what the process of getting diagnosed as an adult is like..."
He continued: "And not just the assessment either, like beyond that. What it's like finding out the result and then the aftermath, sharing the news and then speaking about it with your family and friends or partner."
Sam Thompson: Is This ADHD? is available to stream on Channel 4.
