Sandra Lee Buys Oceanfront Malibu Home for $3.38 Million

It seems that Sandra Lee is looking to begin a new chapter of her life far, far away from New York state, where her ex, Andrew Cuomo, is still governor. The Food Network star recently purchased a $3.38 million beach house situated right next to the ocean in Malibu, California.

Originally built in 1948, the simple home comprises two bedrooms and three bathrooms spread out over 1,719 square feet, with the unobstructed view of the sea likely the biggest selling point of the property. The exterior is unassuming, with teal roof tiling, white-painted wooden siding, and a sunny all-brick courtyard at the front. Inside, the house is clean-lined and minimalistic, with a whitewashed great room featuring a vaulted exposed-beam ceiling, gray carpeting, a stately brick fireplace, and large picture windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A set of glass doors opens directly out onto a wooden deck cantilevered directly over a rock promontory that juts out into the water.

Elsewhere in the home is the galley-style kitchen, which features all-white cabinetry and a stove housed in an exposed-brick nook. It seems likely that Lee will want to give the appliances an upgrade, considering her fondness for cooking.

Presently, the famous chef also owns a home in the Van Nuys, California, which she purchased from her aunt and uncle just last year. In June 2019, she and Cuomo listed the home they shared in Westchester County, New York, for $2 million. Soon after, they announced their split. Nicknamed Lily Pond, the dwelling features six bedrooms and six bathrooms spread across 4,129 square feet.
