Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter Are Saying Goodbye After “Modern Family” Wraps Filming

It&aposs the end of an era.

Over the weekend, Modern Family stars Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter joined the rest of their TV family in posting goodbyes to the show, cast, and crew they&aposve worked so closely with for more than a decade. Grab a tissue because it&aposs about to get super emotional up in here.

Saturday, February 22 marked the official wrap for filming on the hit ABC series. To commemorate the very momentous occasion, Sarah and Ariel posted photos from set and shared their own special messages about the show, which has been going strong for 11 years. Sarah posted several pics, showing off her trailer and friendships with the other cast members. She kept the caption short and simple, writing “11 years. 250 episodes. 1 Modern Family," and adding a heart emoji at the end.

As for Ariel, she shared a photo outside of her trailer and went deep on her feelings: "In just a few hours we will series wrap on @abcmodernfam, and along with everything else, I will be saying goodbye to the trailer I have had for almost a decade. Goodbye trailer! Goodbye Alex plaque!"

Sarah and Ariel weren&apost the only cast members making good use of social media to post their farewells to the show on its final day. Thanks to Instagrams from the other Modern Family stars — Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Jeremy Maguire, and Sofia Vergara — fans were able to see what it was like on set during the final day of filming. Among the numerous photos taken, the cast members who shared photos and videos revealed tender moments, including the entire crew gathering in one of the living room sets to participate in a singalong to Green Day&aposs "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)." Uh-oh, I think I need that tissue right about now.
