Sarah Jessica Parker teases "new men" in And Just Like That season 3
Sarah Jessica Parker has teased elements of the third season of And Just Like That…, saying that “new men” would be added to the cast.
The HBO show, a sequel to Sex and the City, follows Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) as they navigate life and friendship whilst in their 50s.
Ahead of the upcoming third season, Parker shared during an on-stage talk at the Red Sea Film Festival that the extensive shoot for the season – which took over seven months – was a result of several additions to the cast.

“It feels really big, really robust and exciting,” said Parker (via Variety). “There are so many interesting stories with additional characters that rightfully find a real home. There is growth with new faces. Carrie has a wonderful storyline.”
“The story takes some big swings and we fold some big ideas into those big swings. Some of the male characters are back, and there are some new men,” she continued, before explaining the significance of Sex and the City.
“It was the female audience, what we called the gang of 10 million, that made the show possible,” she reasoned. “We took the audience on a singular adventure and I have been so privileged to portray a character over a long period of her life that already spans around 25 years.”

Whilst Parker teased the new arrivals, the new episodes won’t feature Sara Ramirez’s Che Diaz after the character split up with Miranda in the second season, with Nixon explaining the reason for her co-star’s departure.
“They created such an amazing character — such a controversial character, but such an amazing character,” said the actor. “I think they felt, and Michael Patrick [King, show creator] felt, that that character had run its course. They came in and shook everything up, and then the arc was completed.”
And Just Like That, the sequel to Sex and the City, airs on Max in the US and Sky Comedy and NOW in the UK.
