Sarah Michelle Gellar Thanks Shannen Doherty for Giving Her Children 'Such a Life' During COVID Pandemic
"People don't know this, but Shannen sat there sometimes while they were on Zoom school and helped them," the mom of two revealed
Sarah Michelle Gellar is feeling grateful for having longtime friend Shannen Doherty help her out during the pandemic.
On this week's episode of Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, 46, joined Doherty, 52, to chat about their pod during the pandemic and Gellar thanked her friend for all she did for her family during that time. The actress is mom to daughter Charlotte, 14, and son Rocky, 11, who she shares with husband Freddie Prinze Jr., 47.
"You gave my children such a life in COVID and I was really struggling with how to give them that freedom and that room to be kids and have adventures," Gellar told Doherty. "And you opened your home to us in COVID in a way that I will for the rest of my life be grateful for."
"You gave them adventures and just, freedom. And I can never repay that because that was such a difficult time and so seeing my kids that happy and giving me a break. People don't know this, but Shannen sat there sometimes while they were on Zoom school and helped them and we would have blackouts and she would plan adventures."

"It was such a special time. And while that time period was so stressful and I never want to repeat that, I never want homeschooling again, there are times where I miss that slow life and just being able to be like that and having your kids spend that time with you too, right?"
Last month, Gellar attended a Los Angeles Chargers game with her son Rocky and had a hilarious and relatable mom moment when her son took things a little too far on the jumbotron.
In a fan video on TikTok, the actress and her son appeared on the big screen, prompting her son to get up out of his seat and start dancing.
Rocky started by waving his hands in the air before he began thrusting his hips forward and backward. The pre-teen was quickly pulled down and told to stop by his mom, who rolled her eyes and shook her head.
In early January, Gellar shared two posts full of exciting photos from her recent family vacation on Instagram.
"If I’ve left you unread…. Here is why. Vacation photo dump part one," she captioned her first photo gallery, complete with selfies and beach reads.
In the next post, she highlighted, "Vacation dump #2- family and friends," where she featured several family shots with the couple and their two kids.
