Sask. fans unleash anger on social media as Riders reach 0-9

Rider pride has turned to frustration and anger as the team racked up its ninth loss in a row against the Ottawa Redblacks on Sunday.

Despite closing in on the Redblacks in the second quarter, quarterback Brett Smith was benched after throwing an interception in the end zone. Many fans disagreed with the decision.

Chamblin brought in Tino Sunseri to quarterback the rest of the game. The Riders managed to only score another three points, losing 13-35. The Redblacks racked up 10 sacks by the end of the game.

At one point on Sunday night #riders was trending in the third spot on Twitter for Canada. Soon, the hashtag #firechamblin emerged.

While some fans were more measured than others, it was hard to find anyone publicly defending Chamblin's coaching decisions.
