MOOSE JAW — Leader Scott Moe says the Saskatchewan Party will increase the Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship to $750 a year for eligible students if re-elected on Oct. 26.
Moe says that would help students from low- to moderate- income families continue their education after high school.
The income-tested benefit would support about 8,000 students.
The increase would come into effect in next year’s budget at a cost of $2 million each year.
Moe says making post-secondary education more affordable is part of his party’s plan for a strong Saskatchewan.
Moe says the party has made a commitment to balance the budget by 2024 and to releasing a costed platform later in the campaign.
