The getaway made it as far as Saskatoon.

RCMP and police used a roadblock on Highway 41 to snag a 22-year-old man who had escaped from the Riverbend Correctional Facility at Prince Albert.

In a news release, police said the man made his escape with the help of two accomplices. Officers suspected the trio were headed to Saskatoon.

They were right.

Around midnight, they arrested the escapee, a 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman at a roadblock east of the city.

They will be in front of a judge facing charges related to the escape.
