SaskPower working to restore power in parts of province

SaskPower is working to restore power to areas where outages have occurred but say there is not estimated time of restoration.

Outages in the areas of Chitek Lake, Pelican Lake First Nation, the west side of Leoville, Tarnopol, Crystal Springs, Birch Hills, White Bear, Lacadena, Kyle, Tyner and rural areas near Ranger, Sask. will be addressed later in the morning.

Power is out in the Crystal Springs and Tarnopol area due to tree damage.

In Birch Hills, power is out due to a pole in a body of water.

A downed line has White Bear, Lacadena, Kyle and Tyner areas in the dark.

SaskPower advises anyone who sees a downed power line to stay back at least 10 metres and contact SaskPower at 310-2220 or call 911.

If a tree has damaged a line in some way, call SaskPower and do not attempt to fix it yourself.
