SC teen killed in deadly shooting. Police found him bleeding on front porch of home

A 19-year-old has died after a shooting near Conway.

Daquan Wright was shot early Thursday at his home on Fowler Road, according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

After the shooting, Wright was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:23 p.m., Willard said in an email.

Horry County Police responded to the shooting about 2 a.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived at the home, they found Wright laying on the porch with blood coming from his face in what appeared to be a gunshot wound, according to a police report.

The home was cleared of those inside, and a suspect was detained in the backyard, the report said.

No arrests have been made in the case.
