If fans can expect anything from a season finale of Scandal, it’s some major twists and turns.
“Shocking” is how star Darby Stanchfield describes Thursday’s Season 6 finale. “Of course! It’s Scandal.”
There are a couple of other select adjectives she’d use, including “hot.” Now that Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) have reunited, it sounds like we can expect the couple to have one last romp in the residence before Fitz leaves the White House.
The difference between this finale and previous ones, though, Stanchfield teases, is the changing of the guard. With Fitz ending his presidency, and Mellie (Bellamy Young) taking the Oval Office, a lot of changes are taking place for all of the characters. So, what does the future — and the show’s final season — hold for former chief of staff Abby Whelan?
As Stanchfield says, “She gets a new job, I can tell you that much!”
The Scandal season finale airs May 18 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
