Scott Baio slams 'Happy Days' reunion, calls John Stamos an 'elite Marxist'

Scott Baio is not thrilled about the upcoming Happy Days fundraiser for Joe Biden.

It was recently announced original stars Henry Winkler (“Fonzie”), Ron Howard (“Richie Cunningham”), Anson Williams (“Potsie Weber”) and Marion Ross (“Marion Cunningham”) will virtually get together to raise money for the Wisconsin Democratic Party. Although Sunday’s event teases “surprise guests,” it’s obvious Baio, an avid supporter of President Donald Trump, isn’t one of them. Baio went off about the reunion Tuesday on Fox Business Network’s Mornings with Maria.

Baio told anchor Maria Bartiromo a show like Happy Days with “traditional American values” shouldn’t be used to promote people like Biden and Kamala Harris. He also took aim at John Stamos, who offered to play Baio’s character “Chachi,” labeling the actor an “elite Marxist.”

“I think Stamos always wanted to be Chachi instead of paying second fiddle to a three-year-old,” Baio said, referencing Stamos’s hit show Full House which starred child actors Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

“Here’s what I don’t get,” Baio added. “To take a show like Happy Days that represented traditional American values, good morals, a slice of Americana and to use that show and those ideals to promote two people in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris that condone, encourage and foment rioting and looting is a little bizarre to me.”

The Joanie Loves Chachi star continued, “I’m not on board, obviously, because I don’t believe in socialism and Marxists. And it’s good to know that — that Stamos is part of the Hollywood elite Marxist crowd.”

Baio is one of the few outspoken conservative actors in Hollywood, so he noted he empathizes with other celebrities who come out and support President Trump. When asked about Kirstie Alley’s recent endorsement and subsequent backlash, Baio said he “completely” understands what she’s going through.

“I have been, you know, [whacked from pillar to post] for the past four years and by people who were supposed to be all-inclusive and understanding and loving,” Baio said. “And they’re all basically… they’re fascists and you’re not allowed to think outside of what they think, and I find it disgusting.”
