MORRISBURG – The South Dundas Minor Hockey Association held its annual general meeting on April 19 with four changes made to the volunteer board.
Long-time volunteers Jamie Smith, Brian Shaver, Shelley Broad, and Jason Martens stepped down from the board at the meeting.
SDMHA President Joyce Latulippe praised the work by the volunteers leaving the board
“Special thanks to the members moving on from the executive. They have all worked incredibly hard for the members of SDMHA and will be missed.”
Latulippe highlighted the successes of the club under a more difficult season due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The U11B1-House, U13B-House and U13C-House Lions won their league championships this season. The U11B2-House Lions finished in second to their B1 counterparts in that league’s championship.
“Thanks to all bench staff, players and families for their successful seasons,” she said adding thanks to the many donors and sponsors for the hockey program.
The 2022-23 board for the club include: Latulippe – president, David Lapier – past president, Gabe Perreault – rules and discipline, Amber Kelly – trophies and awards, Johanna Kronstal – secretary, Joe McCooeye – treasurer, Lezley McCann – registrar, Matt Thompson – fundraising, Justin Elliott – head coach, Todd Larocque – development and assistant coach, Steve Dempsey – equipment manager, Jason Broad – ice scheduler, Brian Kronstal – referee in chief, Juliane Robinson – risk management, and Janice Froats – electronic communications coordinator.
