Second round of school vaccination clinics set

CORNWALL – Some good news for families who want to vaccinate their children against COVID-19. A second round of mass vaccination clinics for youth age 5-17 has been scheduled by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.

The clinics follow an initial round of first-dose clinics for youth held in early December by the health unit.

The clinics are walk-in for youth, and their family members who want to get their first, second, or third-dose booster vaccinations. Education and childcare workers are also able to access the clinics if they live or work in the EOHU region.

Seaway District High School in Iroquois will host the first of six clinics, scheduled on January 29. Clinics are also scheduled at Russell High School (January 30), École Secondaire Catholique Régionale de Hawkesbury (February 5), Char-Lan District High School in Williamstown (February 6), St. Lawrence Secondary School in Cornwall (February 12) and École Secondaire Catholique L’Escale in Rockland (February 13).

All clinics are open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Additionally, walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations are available for youth 5-11 at any EOHU-operated vaccination clinic during normal operating hours.
