“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Cast: Meet Mormon Mom Influencers Rocked by Swinging Sex Scandal (Exclusive)
The #MomTok ladies are ready to set the record straight — and PEOPLE has an exclusive look at the cast of Hulu's upcoming show
The Mormon moms of TikTok are ready to bring their story to the small screen.
Just weeks before the premiere of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Hulu's new series that follows the aftermath of a sex scandal that made international headlines, PEOPLE is giving viewers a closer look at the cast.
One of the stars of the reality series is Taylor Frankie Paul, who shocked the #MomTok community in June 2022 when she announced her divorce from her husband and opened up about their "soft swinging" lifestyle — a reference to being intimate outside their marriage, with restrictions.
In the process, the TikToker, who now has 4.1 million followers, ended up implicating some of her fellow "MomTok" influencers.

At the time, Taylor, now 30, explained that the couple agreed that they wouldn't "go all the way," but she admitted that she "did step out of that agreement."
That July, Taylor introduced her new boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, as the guy she "cheated with" — and she recently welcomed her third child, whom she shares with her boyfriend.
"I want people to have a better understanding of who I am," she says in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. "I wanted to be vulnerable and show people that when you hit rock bottom, there is hope.""

Along with the sex scandal, Taylor was arrested in February 2023 on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child after a fight with Dakota.
She pleaded guilty in August 2023 to aggravated assault, while the remaining charges were dropped, according to ABC affiliate KTVX.

Another cast member is Demi Engemann, 30.
The influencer, who has over 304,000 followers on TikTok, is divorced, remarried and now has a blended family with three kids. “I feel passionately about sharing my journey through motherhood and empowering other women through theirs too," she says.
Meanwhile, Jen Affleck — who shares two children with her husband Zac Affleck, a cousin of famous brothers Ben and Casey Affleck — says she's "excited to talk about the things that have happened in my relationship."
"It feels like we got ten years of marriage counseling in this one season of filming," she adds.
Fellow cast member Jessi Ngatikaura, 32, considers herself the “grandma of the group” and owns a hair school and extension company called JZ Styles.
She has been doing hair for over 10 years now. Divorced and remarried, Jessi also has a blended family with three kids.
Meanwhile, fellow cast member Layla Taylor is the youngest of the group, although at 23, she's already navigating life as a single mother of two after divorce.

Former teen mom Mikayla Matthews, 24, says the show "really gets to the raw things that we are going through."
"We wanted to show the different sides to the religion," adds Matthews, who is now married with three kids.
Rounding out the cast is Whitney Leavitt, 31, who is now married with two kids and pregnant with her third.
“When you see a lot of reality TV, they aren’t really friends before filming the show," she says. "We’ve built a business together and we get to show the world how we did that.”
Produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions (Bling Empire, My Unorthodox Life) in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative, "Faith, friendships, and reputations are all on the line," according to the series' synopsis.
All episodes of the eight-episode series will premiere on Hulu on Friday, Sept. 6.
