Sedgwick County jail deputy arrested, accused of stalking & domestic battery, officials say
A 20-year-old Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office jail deputy was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stalking, misdemeanor domestic battery and criminal trespass, a SCSO official said.
Jail records shows the deputy was booked into the jail shortly after 10 p.m. His bond is set at $35,000.
The deputy has been employed with the sheriff’s office since July. He is currently suspended from duty. A criminal case and internal investigation is ongoing, SCSO public information office Branden Stitt said.
The deputy is not being identified because he has not yet been formally charged.
